Your final project for the semester is to write a two-three page essay that examines yourself as a writer.
You should examine your strengths and weaknesses as a writer. What do you do well and what still needs work? You should use specific examples from your work to show these strengths and weaknesses. USE ACTUAL EXAMPLES OF YOUR WRITING IN YOUR DISCUSSION OF STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES.
In addition, you should develop a plan of action. Explain what you will do in the future to continue to improve as a writer. What actions will you take? What classes? Get specific.
The easiest approach to the assignment is to “grade” yourself. Claim you are a B (or A or C) writer and then explain why based upon your strengths and weaknesses. Finally, conclude your essay with a plan of action for improvement.
This approach works well for most students, but you may use any format you desire. The key is to address your strengths, weaknesses, and to develop a plan.
